Conducting military operations in an urban setting: how IHL applies to the pager attacks
Swedish Defence University.
2025 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This thesis seeks to determine if, and how, IHL applies to the pager attacks that occured in Lebanon on 17th September 2024. Analysing different legal materials, it finds that pagers are not inherently unlawful as weapons, but most probably are not able to comply with targeting law.
