This thesis explore the impact of previous transformations and ongoing growth in the Armed Forces on morale among personnel. Through a qualitative and interpretive approach, including interview surveys at a Swedish garrison, followed by thematic analysis, the thesis investigates the influence on morale based on current challenges in professional practice. While the study finds that overall morale is perceived as good, there are challenges in managing everyday life for the personnel at a Swedish army garrison. Military morale is tied to group norms, potentially influencing critical thinking within the organization. The study emphasizes the importance of an organizational culture that promotes reciprocity between employers and employees. It contributes to understanding personnel conditions in a changing organization, deepening knowledge of various aspects regarding the concept of morale, including how it can impact the organization and its members.
