The purpose of this thesis is to study the Swedish Armed Forces interoperability with NATO. The study also aims to see if there are any differences in interoperability whit in different dimensions, which are organizational, behavioural, logistic and technical. The foundation of the analysis is based on Michael Codners theory Dimensions of Multinational Interoperability and the tools used to measure the grade of interoperability are LISI and OIM.
This study shows that the Swedish Armed Forces is most interoperable in the dimensions of organizational and logistic and least in behavioural. Technical could not be measured by the analysis tools, but the examination show that interoperability occurs between The Swedish Armed Forces and NATO.
This study recommends a thorough examination of all the dimensions to gain a greater understanding of the levels of interoperability and in order to be able to recommend more elaborated suggestions on alternatives to improve the interoperability.
