Denna uppsats har som syfte att undersöka huruvida den nuvarande Doktrin för marina operationer (DMarinO) är relevant för Amfibiekåren än idag, eftersom Försvarsmakten har genomfört en transformering och i synnerhet Amfibiebataljonen.

Studien genomförs som en fallstudie av försvarstransformering av Amfibiebataljonen. Amfbat 2014 ligger i fokus för undersökningen. Data samlas in i huvudsak genom textanalys av dokument utgivna av regering, riksdag och Försvarsmakten.

Resultatet av studien visar att DMarinO inte längre är relevant för Amfibiebataljonen. Nuvarande doktrinen konkurrerar med från Försvarsmakten utgivna ordrar och riktlinjer, vilket till del beror på när den fastställdes. Doktrinen fastställdes år 2005 på fakta från åren 2000 till 2005 då Amfibiebataljonen såg annorlunda ut mot idag. Ledningsstaben på HKV har givit ut direktiv om framtagande av en ny Militärstrategiskdoktrin och en Operativdoktrin som skall ersätta arenadoktrinerna.

The aim of this paper is to investigate whether the current doctrine for marine operations is relevant for the Amphibious Corps, considering the transformation of the Swedish Armed Forces and specifically the Amphibious Battalion.

The study has been carried out as a case study of the transformation of the Amphibious Battalion. The organisation “Amfbat2014”is in focus of the investigation. Data has mainly been collected by text analysis from documents released by the government and the Swedish Armed Forces.

The study shows that doctrine for marine operations no longer is relevant for the Amphibious Battalion. The current doctrine does not always correspond to the orders and guidelines of the Swedish Armed Forces, which can be explained that it has become obsolete. It was implemented in 2005, based on information collected and analyzed 2000 – 2005, when the structure of the Amphibious Battalion was different. The command and control staff at the HQ of the Swedish Armed Forces has released directives on working out a new military strategic doctrine and an operative doctrine which will replace the arena doctrines.
