Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka hur reflektions- respektive produktionsinriktat ledarskap förhåller sig till nutida diskurs om militärt ledarskap inom den svenska försvarsmakten och Försvarsmaktens utbildningar. Två frågor ställdes: På vilket sätt ges uttryck för ett reflektions- respektive produktionsinriktat ledarskap i, inom försvarsmakten och Försvarsmaktens utbildningar 2008-2010, svenska dagsaktuella militära texter om ledarskap? Kan olika tendenser skönjas, där en inriktning betonas på bekostnad av den andra, eller där båda inriktningarna låter sig förenas?

Litteraturstudien hade en kvalitativ ansats med inslag av hermeneutik. Från på förhand bestämda inklusions- och exklusionskriterier valdes nio olika texter/dokument ut. Från dessa dokument erhölls svar till frågorna.

Resultatet sammanfattades i tre slutsatser:

1. I de flesta dokumenten fanns, om än indirekt, utsagor i enlighet med ett reflektions- respektive produktionsinriktat militärt ledarskap. Det fanns också en tendens till att samtalet mera handlade om reflektions- än om produktionsinriktningen. Ibland kunde de båda inriktningarna förenas.

2. Dessutom visade resultatet att det behövs ett bredare perspektiv från vilket det militära lärande ledarskapet kan studeras. Den svenska modellen (se uppsatsens Bilaga 1) kan utvecklas.

3. Med ett bredare perspektiv öppnas upp för andra begrepp, vilka jämte de redan befintliga kan få bärande betydelse i nya systematiska studier.

Abstract [en]

The aim of this study was to investigate how reflection- and production-oriented leadership, related to present discourse on the military leadership in the Swedish Armed Forces and Armed Forces training. Two questions were asked: In what way gives expression to a reflection- and production-oriented leadership in the Swedish Armed Forces and the Armed Forces training 2008-2010, in Swedish military texts of today about leadership? Can different trends be discerned, where one direction emphasized at the expense of the other, or where the two approaches are mutually compatible?

The literature review had a qualitative approach with elements of hermeneutics. From pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria nine different texts/documents were chosen. From these documents the answers to the questions were received.

The results were summarized in three conclusions:

1 - In most documents there were, if only indirectly, statements in accordance with a reflection- and production-oriented military leadership. There was also a tendency where the discourse focused more on reflection- than on production-oriented leadership. Sometimes the two approaches were combined.

2 - In addition, results showed the need for a broader perspective from which the military educating leadership can be studied. The Swedish model (see the report's Appendix 1) can be developed.

3 - Taking a broader perspective opens up for other concepts, which together with the already existing ones can be of well-founded significance in new systematic studies.
