The U.S. Air Force Colonel John A. Warden III, has presented a theory that one can see the enemy as a system of systems to find his weaknesses. The theory is based on creating an image of the enemy through a predefined subdivision into subsystems consisting of five rings. This image must then be broken down into further sub-system consisting of the same five rings that eventually reveals the enemy's centers of gravity.
